Living Thanks: Debt Payoff Update

Last week, I sat with my account open, ready to make a payment on my credit card. I had the amount in mind, felt proud of the progress I’d been making, and was ready to make a big dent. My plan was to send a significant chunk. I’d been visualizing it, budgeting for it, and building momentum.🙂‍↔️

But just before clicking the button, something shifted. 😮

It wasn’t anxiety or hesitation. It was a quiet pause. A nudge from within that said, wait. Not because I couldn’t afford it, but because something in my spirit said, not all of it. Just half.🤑

So I listened.👂🏽

Instead of the full amount I had planned, I sent exactly half. I trusted that whisper and moved on with my day, knowing I was still showing up for my financial healing journey, just in a slightly different way than expected.👁️

The very next day, I received a check for the exact amount I had just sent.😲

That moment didn’t just surprise me. It affirmed something deep. This wasn’t coincidence. It was confirmation. A reminder that I’m not just managing money. I’m in relationship with it. I’m learning to trust my timing, my intuition, and the unseen support guiding me forward.👐🏽

Since beginning this journey, I’ve cleared over 21 percent of my total debt. That may look like a small number on paper, but it’s powerful. It represents commitment, trust, alignment, and emotional growth. Every payment I’ve made has been a declaration. Not just of financial responsibility, but of belief in the life I’m building.✨

I’ve realized that paying off debt can be a spiritual practice. Each time I choose presence over pressure or alignment over hustle, I’m practicing gratitude. Not the kind you say out loud to sound positive, but the kind you live. The kind that moves through your decisions. The kind that listens to the quiet.🌬️

Living thanks doesn’t always look like saying thank you. Sometimes it looks like pausing when you feel a rush. Sometimes it means honoring a feeling you can’t yet explain. Sometimes it’s choosing to believe that slowing down can still move you forward.⏩

So if you’re standing in front of a financial decision or any decision that holds weight and you feel a pause, listen. The universe may be creating space for something to meet you right where you are. You might be closer to overflow than you think.🤔

Keep going. Keep listening. Keep living the thanks.🙏🏽
